So far I was not impressed by prints made with Arches or Canson papers
and pigment inks. ArjoMari/Wiggins is also a very strange company to
deal with from The Netherlands. Headquarters for the Benelux in Brussels
isn't helping. The agent here doesn't know a bit about inkjet papers,
the Belgium one was friendly but didn't keep their promises for a new
range of proof papers. There's an unbelievable arrogance within that
company, that has been the case with their traditional art papers and it
isn't changed now. Pricing too high, odd roll formats, hard to get and
in my opinion the quality not at the Dmax and smoothness of Innova or
HM. It may just be that it is hard to get the good paper from that
company. As I understand it they sold another quality in the US than in
Europe.
Bergger makes a better quality coating on Arches paper than any other
Arches paper I could lay my hands on. But it is more expensive than the
competition.
