Digital BW, The Print

Hello All;

I'm still in need of a 13" printer that's smooth enough for inkjet 
negatives, what's the experience so far with the R2400 re banding? I 
hope at $850.00 this one does a bit better than the R1800. It seems 
Epson's manufacturing standards have slipped a bit lately in areas 
where it counts the most, in exchange for flash and well, some 
admitedly useful features; but I feel Epson should be moving upwards on 
all fronts, not side-ways. I've had 4 $500.00+ printers in the last two 
years that wouldn't print as well as the $90.00 SP750 I started with, 
or the $179.00 R300 I bought for proofing and CD printing. Is this 
progress?
