Hi all, According to the WEINK website the 2400 carts are essentially the same as one of the carts arleady available, namely the C-series, and R- 800/1800 carts. Here's a link: http://www.weink.com/ecom/catalog/easy- fill_universal_blank_for_epson_4309893.htm Has anybody tried these yet? Do we know if the current chip resetters work on the 2400 chips? Perhaps someone can try resetting an empty cart & reporting back? Steve Karafyllakis

Ink Republic had their CIS for the 2400 days after it came out, again pointing to the similar parts of both cart and chip. If you have an empty and a reset tool, there shouldn't be too much risk to trying it to find out.

MIS C86 (C84, R200, R800, R1800 -- see http://www.inksupply.com/c84refill.cfm) carts also work in the 2400 according to MIS. Just transfer the chips from the Epson carts. The MIS resetter works with them. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

Paul, Does MIS have k3 inks for the 2400 yet? Didn't find anything on their site. Carl, MIS has beta 2400 inks, but not enough to put on the web yet. I've seen ABW prints with the MIS 2400 and they are excellent. Paul www.PaulRoark.com

I do know that the matte black and photo black are a neutral black, not like the warm tone that Epson uses. This set uses parts of the Image Specialists UltraPro ink set that I use (Mk, PK, C, M, Y) and a new mix of the light cyan and magenta, and the light black (LLk). I don't know much more about the new colors, I haven't tried to get samples yet. And yes the photo black really is about as glossy as the other colors, and yes they were all very glossy for the little bit of testing that I did on some luster papers. As always, custom profiles will give you the best results with these inks. Alternately, you can drain the ink from the larger carts used by the 4800 or 78/9800 to save a little money.
