OT Very basic software

OT Very basic software

2005-08-15 by Stephen Kobrin

I am looking for a very basic (and cheap) imaging processing program
that will let me resize JPEGS on my laptop when I am traveling and
apply some very simple corrections (levels and color). All I want to
do is to be able to send some snaps home to my family. Photoshop
elements is overkill by orders of magnitude.

Any suggestions?

Steve

Look at Irfanview, and Imagemagik.
Irfanview will package them up into an .exe slideshow; that may be good for
less computer savvy family members.

Best regards,

The GIMP. Open source, so free as in speech.

Picasa from Google. Easier than the GIMP, and it doubles as a rather
nice organizer.
