any solutions to solve banding on 1290s using MonoChrome Pro

Hi all, I am having desperate banding problems (perpendicular to the print head travel)with the new MonoChrome Pro CIS and my Epson 1290s. I've searched the archives for along time but can't find any solutions to the problem. Any ideas or thoughts on my situation would be very greatfully appreciated, regards, Jamie
