Help with saving to file in Qimage please.

Help with saving to file in Qimage please.

2005-09-07 by Dean

Hey!

A while back Qimage started giving me a different than normal save
dialogue box. Instead of the standard one it had been using, it started
giving me a folder tree like one where all I could do was select the
folder to save in and Qimage would save the file with the same file name
and a prefix added. Then it suddenly went back to the old system which
allowed me to change the file name, etc. I assume I had done some
inadvertent button pushing/option selecting to make all this happen, but
I don't know what.

Yesterday the tree type box came back. Today I downloaded the latest
version and the tree folder save thingy is still there.

Anyone know how I get the fuller save dialogue box back?

Thanks.

Dean

Dean,

You get the tree structure if you select the "Auto naming" radio button.
The tree view is allowing you to select the output folder but not a file
name.

If you select the "User supplied folder and name" radio button you get a
normal file save dialog box.

I think you are just getting the tree structure because you are selecting
auto naming and the tree structure allows you to select the directory, but
not a file name.

Also note that now you can tick the box that says "Remember print-to-file
output folder" and when you do auto-naming in the future, the output
directory will be remembered. The tree structure will still come up, but it
will automatically select the remembered location.

What you are seeing is normal.

A ha! Never thought of looking in that box. Thanks, the mystery is now
all cleared up.

Sooner,
