Subject: Re: FAQ? HP 8750 vs. Epson R2400 for B&W

ok, I was the one who mentioned HP Premium Plus Glossy puckering up and
contacting the glass when hinged behind an 8-ply museum mat. If a
traditional archival hinged mat sandwich is the wrong way to mount this
paper, what are you saying is the right way to do it?

Heavy fine art papers can be hinged in this way, but I've found that 'photo
paper' weight papers like the HP (or Epson, Ilford, etc.) need to be mounted
to a substrate such as foam core or they will warp and pucker. If you don't
have access to a heat mounting press, try 3-M Postionable Adhesive. It comes
in rolls of various widths and is easy and effective.
