Digital BW, The Print

hi, 

I've used both Epson's UC inks and a brief stint of trying MIS UT7 inks 
for my 2200.  I was wondering if anyone has used the MIS UT7 Eboni ink 
in lieu of Epsons Matte Black (mk) but still used the rest of the UC 
inks?  

Is there an advantage to doing this?

yes and yes imo

a "cooler" more neutral black than Epson's rather warm UC black

and on most papers better ("blacker") blacks

It can sometimes seem to make colour printing a bit cooler, but most colour
prints with the Epson driver seem to use very little actual black ink in
them unless there is a lot of true black in the image (ever notice how
slowly black runs out compared to the other inks when printing colour) - and
so I have never rally found this noticeable
