Digital BW, The Print

Anyone tried using Epson K3 blacks along with light C, light M and yellow in
a six-color printer (like a 1270/1280)? How hard would it be to linearize
this combo? It seem to me that it would make a great, inexpensive setup for
toned B&W prints using the 220ML Epson carts as feed for a CIS. Problems?
Pressurized carts issues (could transfer to bottles first)? Software
suggestions? Any takers?

If used in one of the bigger printers (7/9000 or 75/9500), it would 
make a good small gamut ink set used in conjunction with a flexible 
RIP. Other than QTR I don't think you will find other software to 
drive the 12xx printers. And since you have to mess around with 
refilling or a CIS, why not just use one of the third party ink sets? 
WeInk and MIS both have solutions for the K3 printers.
