PremierArt Photo Luster Rag

Steve, Someone posted about Premier Luster Rag recently - I think it was Walt, as he described his own "Paper Chase" (sorry Clayton). I recall him describing some QC problems. I have been on and off with this paper since July. It's nice and heavy (325gsm), but there are a few things I don't like. 1. It's got a real curl to it. 2. It has a pronounced weave - looks like linen or canvas - not sure how else to describe it. 3. With the UC inks, there was a serious gloss differential, but this was controllable with PrintShield. I just did some quick tests with K3/matte black, and followed the directions on the IJA site. I sprayed it with PrintShield BEFORE profiling so as to prevent smudges. The 98% patch is at 2.025, but the 100% patch reverses to 1.876. That was produced with the following settings. ABW, VFA media type, 2880, high speed, neutral, light. You have more experience with ABW than me. Do you have any suggestions on eliminating the reversal? Stepping down to 1440 still produced a reversal, and the dmax values are less. (Dry time for all these readings was minimal.) Best. Josh
