Fibagloss UT2 question

Fibagloss UT2 question

2006-05-04 by zonepeter

I am going to be trying Innova Fibagloss with UT2. I was wondering if
anyone has tried them using any of the glossy profiles for Eboni (ie
epson semigloss profile)? These are the profiles that don't use any of
the black ink and use the dark grays to produce black. Will this work
or should I order some PK right away?.

Thanks,
Peter

Peter

FibaGloss is designed to work with photo black. You're unlikely to get
satisfactory results with MK.

Thanks K2. The workflow I am refering to doesn't use any MK. It
allows you to keep MK in the black position, but using grey inks to
make the black. It is desinged for use with gloosy papers, which is
why I was wondering if it would work with Fibagloss.

Thanks again.

RE: [Digital BW] Fibagloss UT2 question

I'd find the UT2 curve that gave the tones I wanted, perhaps one of the
Premium Semigloss curves, and then I'd embed the curve in an ICC so that I
could linearize the curve to the new paper.
