Hi I've been following your group for a while now, but not posted as I have been steadily absorbing your very helpful information but unable to use it until very recently. I am now using a 2400 with MIS K4 (refilling carts), and have just purchased an Eye-One to profile those inks with the various papers I use. Previously I have used various older Epson printers and have been using MIS inks and refilling carts for several years. Success on the print quality front has been so so until now, and I have been very disappointed with my B&W attempts compared with my earlier darkroom work over about 20-30 years. I'm now the ripe old age of 53, living in Dunedin, New Zealand, and currently have the time to develop my digital B&W work to a level that I am happy with (I hope). Tonight I have just produced my first print using QTR and am very happy with the result compared with the various Epson Advanced B&W settings in the 2400 driver. First question: does anyone use Epson watercolour (radiant white) paper with MIS K4? I have been having a lot of trouble trying to get it to an acceptable point but am not yet happy with it. The small ridges in the paper often do not seem to absorb any ink, resulting in a very mottled-looking print. Here in NZ it is not easy to get much in the way of A3 fine art paper so I thought I would start with one that is readily available. Thanks for any help, and I hope I can now contribute to this group that I have learned so much from. I suspect, however, it will be all questions for a while, and just hope you can tolerate them. Regards Phil
