Has anyone tried these cartridges in the Epson 2400 printer? If they work as advertised then should solve a lot of messy refill problems and avoids tubes, etc. associated with CFS systems. http://www.uink.com/catalog/easy- fill_sponge_free_dedicated_r2400_blank_kit_5044248.htm

Sounds like a good idea, but the price is absolutely ridiculous Steve Karafyllakis --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Carl Schofield <list@...> wrote: > > Has anyone tried these cartridges in the Epson 2400 printer? If they

I agree. Thought about trying to make them, but MIS wants $15/chip (auto reset) to add to a blank cart. Saves about $80 on a set, but still expensive. Carl --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "Steven Karafyllakis" <stevekphoto@...> wrote:

Perhaps they work in the R2400? I notice they also sell half-litter bottles of K3 ink for $52. I wonder if it is real k3 or a compatible ink. Manuel

The carts are the same, but the auto-reset chip is not. Still, one could buy the R2400 chips from MIS at $15 each and have the setup for about $200. You might be able to sell the R1800 auto-reset chips and get some of that back. But why should the R1800 set be 57.99 (a fair price ) and the R2400 set $ 269? makes no sense. One thing I'd point out: the auto-reset chip means you never know how much ink you really have. You would need to check dilligently to avoid running the head dry, that could easily damage your head. I just looked at that again- the R1800 carts are priced PER cart at 57.99, while the R2400 are priced for the set of 9 at 264.50. That makes a set of the R1800 carts $463.92 Now we're getting downright surreal. The only place to get real Epson ink nearly that low is through a Noritsu dealer, and then only if you own the 1 or 2 models that use the same inks as the R800/1800.

In case you hadn't noticed on the QTR group this link shows what looks like similar carts for $36 for the whole set. I think they are auto-reset chips, too. Roy, Yes, I checked with the seller and they are autoreset chips. Excellent price, so I placed an order. I'll let the group know how they work. Carl

By the way, the same seller offers carts for r200, r220 etc. I guess only chip is different in those two sets. Sergei --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Carl Schofield <list@...> wrote:
