Has anyone done a same computer-same drive installation of CS3 along with CS2, and if so, did it produce any issues, bugs, quirky behavior? I'd like to get more familiar with CS3 but it'll never happen unless I install it on my main computer. Thanks, Steve Karafyllakis

Steve, I've install CS 3 on my Mac and PC and I LIKE it. My only complaint to date is that it takes OVER. Any image you double click to open will open in CS 3! And with my PC I can't even force CS 2 to be the default application again! I've considered uninstalling it on my PC, a laptop for field use, but haven't yet. I really like the new Camera Raw and Bridge on the Mac and find I can make many image adjustments there and not be troubled with editing in CS 3. I also find the program opens faster on both computers, but I've fast older computers ( dual 2.7 GHz G5 w/6.5 gigs of ram, 2 internal and 2 external eSATA hard drives) (PC is dual 3.6 M4 Intel, dual 7200 rpm hard drives in RAID O, 2 gigs of Ram), dated but still fast enough. Printing from my Mac to my Epson R2400 is very straight forward, no problems that I can document. When I print B&W I use QuadTone RIP on the Mac. I've since removed Lightroom and Apples Aperture, in favor of CS 3. Hope that helps, Alan

There are some issues with CS3, of course, but CS2 keeps working fine. CS3 is my tool of choice for most work now, even with its issues. Steve, I am having two minor issues. Running XP with both CS2, CS3, & Lightroom installed in the same partition. #1 Every time I open CS3 I get during loading an error stating "The gradient file is bad or corrupt". Loading continues and everything seems to work correctly including gradients. I do not get this error when loading CS2. #2 I also am unable to get files to open in CS2 by clicking on them. Defaults to CS3. This is not a problem to me as I have been using only CS3 since install. #3 Only an FYI about CS3. While much better then CS2, it still does not seem to have some of the capabilities/benefits that Lightroom has. Installed in separate folders with no problems. Even copied some plug-ins over to the new beta CS3.
