Can CFS carts be cleaned out and reused?

Can CFS carts be cleaned out and reused?

Can the CFS carts (1160) from MIS be cleaned out ?

I had an incorrect inkset delivered and 2(C & M)of the 4 inks are
going to be exchanged.

However, I'd already filled the carts and I had to suck the 2 inks
back up the tubes with a syringe. I could get most of it out but
there's a wee bit left.

I had not yet installed the carts and punctured the bottom seals. I
had top filled via the tubes and vacuum method so the bottoms are
intact.

If I am replacing the C & M inks and there is a little left in their
chambers is it best to just leave it and let it mix until it is
exhausted ? What would you recommend ?

Also, can the tubes be removed from the carts and flushed and
reattached - with heat or ?

thanks in advance for any tips

I was in a similar situation with the nomorecarts CIS and they
explained that there is something sponge-like in the cartridge. You
may be mixing inks for a long time. Not good.
Hope someone else has a better answer,
Hap
