I can't understand how you can get smudges if you spray your prints ! 
Try a matte paper such as legion's photo matte, or eclipse satine and
see if they don't hold up better. I spray with Krylon Crystal Clear when
I do use a spray, and have had pretty good luck.

Are OEM match inks dye or pigment based?  If they are pigment based you
might try using Epson Archival Matte instead of the heavyweight which is
made for dye inks.  I've never heard of dye inks smudging on a nongloss
paper...hmmmm...

Varnish.
