R1800 Cone K7

R1800 Cone K7

2007-05-08 by David Keenan

Please share with me how this setup is working for yuu.

I am about to migrate from a R2400 to a 3800. Getting a less expensive R1800
maybe with the K7 inkset (which I have never used) may be an interesting
addition.

I print almost exclusive b&w and am very pleased with K3 and ABW especially
with the Innova Fiba-Gloss F paper. Looks fantastic.

Anyway. Thoughts?

Dave.

I tried the K7 in an R800, which is the same as the R1800 and found
them to non-cost effective. They require the use of a 3rd party
RIP, I tried QTR, which I found to be too complicated too figure
out. I also noticed what I deemed an excessive amount of ink being
used during printing.

I have since switched to an R2400 with K3 inks and really like the
entire process.
