Final thoughts on the moon,

Final thoughts on the moon,

2007-05-27 by Christopher L. Johnston

I want to thank everyone for taking the time to help me get my mind around
this shoot. Even though I live next door so to speak it will still take two
days to get on site, distances are big here. So I'm grateful for the help
which I will digest and try out locally before the big trip. I certainly
don't want to screw this up. As a geologist I am pretty proficient with a
map and a compass but I make extensive use of the website below for near
perfect orientations of celestial objects.

If you are into things spinning round in space I urge you to have a look at
this site, it works anywhere on the planet or at least so far for me it has.
If you are in North America you use the "A" Section the rest of us use "B".

The rest of the trip will be based at the Sothern Campsite in Nxai Pans,
there is just one waterhole for 100kms in this part of Botswana, as a result
the gangs all there and in August they are all very thirsty. There is a
large pride of lions resident who kill daily. The rest of the trip some 5
days will be spent as close to the waterhole as the rangers will let us get
with our big glass trained on the lions, I have a daydream of nailing a
lioness 's head emerging from the dust storm her feet are kicking up, paw
outstretched the instant before the springbok is lunch.

I'll post if I get something worthy of this talented group.

Kind regards.
