Need help with some digital B&W issues

Friends, I want to make one of my Epson's a dedicated B&W printer. I have worked my way up the foodchain and now print color on a 7800. I still have the 2200 and 2400. I would appreciate hearing from those who have made B&W prints with K3 inks (Advanced B&W) and can make rough comparisons (or better) to the Cone or other dedicated ink systems. If I decided to go with one of these systems, is the 2200 or 2400 a better choise? I would just as soon use the 2200 and keep the 2400 for K3 color matte printing. If it matters to the discussion, my paper of choise recently has been Crane's Silver Rag. I would want the flexibility to print with both matte and coated, if any of these after market systems permits a switchout, as with Epson's photo and matte blacks. Many thanks, David
