OT - MAKE roll adapter for 3800??

2007-10-28 by jwinberg1

Hi Gang:

Mike Chaney's latest version of QImage purports to get around the
length limits imposed by printer drivers - permits prints to 1000"!

IF this works, has anyone tried to MAKE a roll paper adapter for the
3800 - it should not be THAT difficult!

ANY feedback welcome..... Jack Winberg

Sorry, but bad information. Mike addressed this yesterday in the
QStudio group:

Someone said to Mike:

Mike replied:
You'd have to lobby Epson for that, as it's their driver that doesn't
support long paper lengths. Sadly, the 3800 doesn't even support
roll/banner paper so you can't even overcome the length limitation by
using roll/banner mode and printing a poster. In general, printers
like the 3800 that don't support roll paper aren't going to support
long paper lengths.
