Digital BW, The Print

I want to do more printing in b&w without spending $900 for a printer. 
I am using a Cannon MX700 right now. I have an Epson R200 and I found a 
place on line that will sell me carts that will change the printer to 
dedicated b&w. About $80 for the carts and $80 for fluids to clean it. 
The question I have about the Epson, is it a good enough printer to put 
the money into it? What else is out there?

Why do you need fluids to clean it?  You just need carts and ink and 
syringes, chip resetters, etc to get the ink into the carts.

I use the R220 with MIS UTR2 inks from inksupply.com and think it's a 
great combination.  There is more info at Paul Roark and Clayton Jones' 
web sites.  
The printer is reasonably reliable (although you have to do regular 
head alignments and nozzle checks to make sure it's working right) and 
feeds better than my R1800 does.
