Why do you need fluids to clean it? You just need carts and ink and
syringes, chip resetters, etc to get the ink into the carts.
I use the R220 with MIS UTR2 inks from inksupply.com and think it's a
great combination. There is more info at Paul Roark and Clayton Jones'
web sites.
The printer is reasonably reliable (although you have to do regular
head alignments and nozzle checks to make sure it's working right) and
feeds better than my R1800 does.
