Digital BW, The Print

Lately, with my 2400, I have sometimes been getting tiny, pinpoint size dots 
of ink, in the top border of a 13x19 landscape oriented print. The dots, one 
or more of them, appear at random locations within a half inch by four inch 
area at the trailing end of the print. These tiny dots appear nowhere else 
on the sheet and they don't appear anywhere at all on a letter size sheet. 
The dots are not smeared, so it's not a matter of the trailing edge of the 
paper rubbing anything as it leaves. And they are not spattered or of 
irregular shape. They are all perfectly round but of varying size, from the 
size of a typewritten period down to near total invisibility. And 
sometimes - usually - there are no dots at all. It's a complete mystery to 
me.

Does anyone out there have any idea what might be happening and what I can 
do to keep it from happening again? I'd appreciate any suggestions.
