Another step toward making a custom made archival ink

Upon inquiring with the Image Specialists support team, I found that they carry a dispersion concentrate in water of carbon pigments used to make their IS1082 ink. We ordered a sample to test a custom made ink by diluting the dispersion with an archival base. Furthermore, we think to customize the pigment load for our printers and paper. In fact, the uncoated papers usually can take an ink load larger than 100%. I offered to post their reply to my mail, but they kindly asked not to be advertised through the newsgroup.
