leaking / flooding?

2009-05-09 by esharamaki

I'm having a problem with my 2200. I have UT-3D in spongeless cartidges. I've switched out the whole set for another. The ink seems to pour out of the bottom of the print head and smudge on the sides of the print. Any ideas on how to correct or what the problem is?

Looks like the problem is with your cartridges. Either they are duds or you did not prime them properly. I have tried a lot of different spongeless carts from different supplies and found most of them are duds and do what you describe to varying extents. The only ones I have found that work properly are ones from here: http://www.inkjetcarts.us/ .

I have been using ones from inkjetcarts for a few months now and no issues have arisen. Others on this board also use them successfully.

And make sure you watch the videos supplied with the carts to see how to fill and prime them properly.

Good luck,

Alistair
