Flatbed Scanning of 4x5 Re: [Digital BW] Digest Number 479

Nij,

I bought a 2450 awhile ago and have not yet gotten around to setting it up.
(To many other things have cropped up.) I agree that it might be a very good
place to start considering the amazingly low cost and positive reviews. Has
anyone done a comparison between the 1680 and 2450?

Martin

printing on the back of Epson Archival Matte (EAM)

2002-02-18 by Sam A. McCandless

I'm thinking about printing some id information - text - on the
_back_ of Epson's Archival Matte (EAM) paper in a print exchange.
I.e., I'd print the print itself on the front with pigment inks and
on the back I'd print, probably pre-print, notes in re workflow, etc.
with the same pigment ink.

This is the old EAM which comes with the diagonal "Epson"s and the
vertical arrows faintly printed on the back. But for this purpose, I
don't think that would matter. I do have some more EAM on order but
am not optimistic it will be any different.

Thanks.

I would be afraid that the test would show through to the front. I don't
thing this is a good idea.
