Dmax on Permajet Alpha with 4800

Is it possible to get good dmax on Permajet Alpha with the 4800? Or rather, with the K3 black? With Eboni I was getting 1.65 but with K3 black I'm getting a disappointing 1.5. Even with Photo Rag I'm only getting 1.6, I thought it would be possible to get 1.7 on that paper? Is it possible I didn't entirely flush out the Photo Black during yesterday ink swap?
