2200/UT3D photoshop curve help

2200/UT3D photoshop curve help

2009-10-10 by esharamaki

Hi all. I am trying to make a photoshop curve to get to a fairly neutral print. After about 20 iterations, I am currently stuck. I was wondering if someone might be willing to look at my curve and 21 step LAB values and let me know where I'm going wrong?

set up is Epson 2200, UT3D with PKN, and Ilford gold fibre silk.

Thank you,
Earl

I looked back at the charts of curves I'd made for the 2200 with the standard UT-3D loaded. I didn't have any Ilford Gold Silk, but with Crane Silver Rag smooth curves gave a relatively smooth Lab B response. So, I'm not sure where the elevated Lab B in the light areas is coming from. I'm not sure if all my profiles are posted, but if you'll send me, off list, an e-mail address, I'll forward what I have.
