4000 Banding

4000 Banding

2009-12-29 by shileshjani

I have not had any response to the following at the wide-format forum. Anyone here can help with my banding problem?

Shilesh

The bands are darker than surrounding tone, and are spaced approximately 2.5 mm
apart.

Anyone know how to solve this?

more-or-less reliable. A few months back I changed the inks over to a custom mix
based on IS inks, with GLOP in the Y position. I use QTR to drive the printer,
which has the latest firmware updates.

reduce banding (but not eliminate) by using 2880 setting in QTR. I have done a
number of cleaning cycles, etc, to no avail. I can also reduce the banding
somewhat by setting the custom paper thickness to "1", which makes it 100
microns. But the paper I use is EEF, which is thicker (300 micron). When I use
paper thickness setting using the utility, the "1" setting shows the least gap,
and it gets worse with higher numbers.
