Help installing QTR curves please

Help installing QTR curves please

2010-01-28 by frankg_photo

I just messed up what should have been straightforward.
I downloaded the QTR curves to my desktop (Mac) and unzipped them. They were in the
.qidf & .quad file format.

I then read in the tutorial to go to Applications>QTR>Profiles and find the
appropriate script for the printer (in my case the "install2200.command" in the
2100-2200-UC folder) and copy or drag it into the folder with the downloaded
profiles.

I then placed his folder in the QuadtoneRIP>Profiles>2100-2200-UC folder, and
double-clicked the installer "install2200.command", and it ran and completed the
install with a positive message that the profiles were successfully installed.

However, they're nowhere to be seen/found and they do not appear in the QTR
curves dropdown list.

I started Photoshop from scratch.
All the other profiles are in the .txt format.
When I do a 'spotlight' search on my hard drive the SmoothPearl profile comes up
under a different printer (4000) and I think it was there to begin with, it isnt
the ones that just installed for the 2200.

Can anyone help me fix this ?

Frank
