Hmmm, old memories..
If you have a real interest in this persue it.. clay is very unique.. ink and clay just work!! I suggest you do some homewwork on clay coat papers.. It's been a while for me but I have ran a fair amount of it thru my Epson 10000 when it used to be a color machine.. (So it's been a while) Actually your post has lit a spark.. Clay is an incredible ink receptor...you'll need a rip to really do it right but I got fair results just fooling with the Epson driver.. Clay coat papers, I don't think are used that much anymore, but they are still out their. When I was fooling with it I was getting my material from a supplier out east, they were a GM supplier for their speciality publications that parts of were done on clay coat materials.. I would guess all this stuff is done now in the Asian countries. The stuff when you get past book stock is a bit specialized but it is available. In the printing industry it was the premeum material that you could offer years ago.. I learned about it when I participated in putting together a Corvette coffee table book for GM.. At the time their designers showed me the difference and you could really see it.. Today the difference would probably be notably less if any but it could be a an offering for a few. You know an outside the box kind of thing...

Subject: [Digital BW] Clay Board
Has anyone tried printing on artist's clay board, such as:
http://www.dickblick.com/products/ampersand-claybord/? It comes in board
1/8" thick, which should work with a printer with a straight through path.
