So: shouldn't this be the be the alarm to collect a feature wish list? :-)

I hope the programmed patterns resides in a static memory.

Additionally I have two wishes:

1.) split it into two modules: the trigger programming module and adress
generation module and connect them via an bus cable with address bus,
clock, reset. So the module could be driven also by the A154 (or other
future adressing modules).

2.) please add in the planning stage of the hardware four function
buttons. I don't know not yet what for exactly, but I have some ideas:

* Buttons A and B might switch between different programmable gate lengthes
   - Non pressed: staccato -> gate length as short as possible (required
for resonating filters like the MFB drum modules),
   - A pressed: portato-1 -> 25% of clock step length
   - A and B pressed: portato-2 75% of clock length
   - B pressed: legato = 100% of clock length(*)
I think having different gate lengthes would make a reasonable
difference against the MFB SEQ-01. If the module would be "only" a
trigger module, we could buy already the MFB-module.

* Button C switches between permanent steps and temporary step. A
permanent step is stored in the pattern as you'd expect it from a drum
machine. A temporary step will be erased after it had been played once.
So you can have a basic pattern playing but add steps as roles or
variations. I do this very often with my Xbase09 and TR-Series, but I
always have to erase the step immediately again.

* Button D is free for your suggestions ;-)

(*)this is not that easy, because either a higher input-clock is
required (I'd prefer DIN-Sync), or the PIC has to measure the
clocklength and then adjust the values.
