Fast answer without listening to the sound yet..In theory you should have the upper sum harmonic with the X input as output from the Mod Demod.. So if your sound is a low sine chances are that the difference harmonic is too low to hear.. Leaving thereby only the sum harmonic and the leakage from the X input...
