buy a monster or portable a100P9 cases.
i have two and they are great.
i prefer them to the low cost cases (IMHO), but the low cost cases are also fine...

3U or 5U format?

is that your question?

if you love experimenting, then definitely 3U.
 the range of wierd euro modules is huge!

buy many doepfer modules and also other euro modules too, for some exotic options.
