as its stands its kind of a crazy question. What music are you interested in making? what kind of sounds? How do you imagine controlling it - sequencing, keyboard, touch response? Do you need polyphony, portability? external processing? Are you coming to this fresh or building on an existing experience/ current setup? tell us more... If I was coming to it completely fresh then 8k worth of euro modules all at once would be utterly confusing! my advice is to start small and see what you like - many of us end up selling a lot of what we start out with - I know when i started out I bought loads of shit I really didn't need and didn't know how to use - plus I missed some vital things I didn't know I needed - like a lot of attenuators and VCAs with that kind of money I would also think about buying a buchla or a serge, or a VCS3 plus a nice little euro system - but it depends entirely on what floats your boat and what you want to do with it.
