Re: [Doepfer_a100] A180-9 multicore

Not related to this issue, but will there be a problem because of the use of twisted pairs? Couldn't patching a 'noisy' signal in the same pair as, say, a 1V/Octave for a VCO, or with an audio signal lead to possible issues?.

Also surprised that as an inter-system connector, that it does not provide a common ground connection

Seems there are cross-cables also....
I’m not very familiar with CAT cables but when this module was introduced I took a small dive into this kind of connections because the provided cable is a bit short.

Do they use a cat5e or cat6 cable? The connector will be the same.

Hi everyone. Almost Happy (Christian) New Year. I bought myself a pair of the new multicore modules as a Xmas treat (how incredibly useful in a large system Dieter - amazing that no-one has thought of it before). I have a very odd problem - The modules link perfectly with the cables supplied but they are only very short. When I try any other network cables however nothing seems to connect. I have checked the cables by linking my laptop to the router and that works fine, but I get no connections at all when I use them between the A180-9s. One of them is 1m long and two are 3m. Any suggestions please?
