Right. I've done one last image (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Doepfer_a100/files/offset_module_2.jpg) , that incorporates a CV function in the lower channel. I'm not convinced that using a rotary selector knob (ala the Range selector on the VCO's), as it would probably drive the price up. Also, if the module was made wider and more complex, the development costs woule rise, as would the retail price. The way I see it, not every module should be all singing and all dancing. Sometimes simple "meat and potato" modules, which are often relatively inexpensive to develop and manufacture, fund the development of the more exotic modules.
