Re: [Doepfer_a100] Doepfer and MAX/msp/jitter

max is great, but personally, i don't like switching between computer
and modular, it's so different.
to get the most out of the combination, you'll want a lot of cv out,
working without hardware limits in max tends to push modulation way up.
if you have a high end sound card, it may be possible to use your audio
outs as cv.
anyway, max-msp is -to me- the greatest musical tool ever, but the
learning curve can be steep, though the documenation is fantastic.
it has evolved deeply into digital territory, but if you make a nice
patch, it may complement a modular system in a great way. maybe build a
nice controller for beter integration with the doepfer diy stuff : )
don't like reaktor btw, my stuff never worked and too heavy on cpu, but
i'm sure that's subjective.
would be cool if doepfer started supporting osc too btw, midi isn't the
major protocol anymore in maxland.

cheers
