The "A-112 sample dump" application by Nico is really nice! But I also like Zoe's script because it turns the sample into a sysex file - that way one can use it with other MIDI sequencers, librarians etc. I also tried the .syx file on the ipad using the app "Midi Tool Box" - it w

Came home late and still had to check anyway...yup Some short time with your script I downloaded this afternoon at 14.40 CET (13.40 UK time). Audio seems to be coming out around a tuning pot position between 5 and 8. So it seems adaptive but I don't see too much difference from t

It seemed to be a problem with Windows Vista. You need to do some extra stuff to make Vista recognise Python after you install it. For anyone interested look here: http://www.neuralwiki.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_installing_Python_in_Windows_Vista All working now. On 22 October

If there's a clock cycle every 200 nanoseconds, that's 5000000 clock cycles a second (in other words, it's running at 5mHz)... So I should probably divide that by the sample frequency, so it knows how many cycles to pause for in between updating the output value, instead of divid

I believe I've now fixed a pitch related bug too. I don't know if there are other pitch related bugs too or not. Do samples now need less fine tuning with the tune knob? Thanks, Zoë.

Yes, you're exactly right, the A-112 has a fixed amount of memory, and a variable sample rate, so the more bytes you use up per second, the less seconds it can store. It can store 65536 (2^16) samples in each of the two pages of memory. The reason the files are slightly bigger is

Now that it works, I have been experimenting a bit... By changing the sample rate of the file you convert to sysex you can use more time. Samples at 16khz end up on the A112 with having the tuning knob set just slightly under 6. Zo's samples were at 44.1khz and ended up with the
