I feel ya regarding the price but from what I can see most of the modules that comprise the Animal can already be approximated by Doepfer modules. The only section that looks truly unique* is the DTG and I doubt Rex would look kindly on an exact replica. *Never having owned a Ser

One of the most used, fun, creative, versatile and overall usefull module I have so far is the Bananalogue VCS - based on a Serge design also. Although there's no point in having Doepfer duplicating an existing Eurorack module, the VCS is not always available and I'm surprised to

Hello basically a very nice concept. Is there a reason why you choose two A-145 instead of one A-143-3 with four LFOs? Drop at least one multiples and replace it with an inverter A-175 (now you get the falling ramp from the A-143-3) Replace the A-131 with an A-132-3 (two VCOs ins

Hi, The reason I chose two A-145's was that I had one already and I prefer the slower cyclic speed of this module. Considering every-bodies useful replies, it seems I need to maybe reconsider my choices. Thank you. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Antonio Tuzzi wrote: > > TOO

I own both A-116 and A-137-1, and I deeply agree with Ernst: A-137-1 is really an impressive waveshaper, especially before an H.P. filtering ation. This doesn't mean that A-116 isn't useful: I still get great pleasure with it, but if you have to choose between 2 waveshapers ... p

Hi, If I may add. The A-107 is nice however won't give you too much versatility sound wise. Instead I'd go for a combo of A-124 and A-108 or A-106-6 (if you insist on Oberheim xpander type filter). That way you can keep the mult regarding space too :-) Best wishes Jakob Am 13.11.
