Hello, just got an A143-1 from MESI yesterday... trying it out this morning and from the MIX OUTPUT I can only get the ENV1... not the other ones... It seems this module is defective? should I just bring it back or is there anything simple I could check before that? Thanks, best/a

Florian, thanks for this quick answer... SO... I think (well I hope so!) that I understood pretty well the functionning of the module as everything seems to be working for me BUT EXCEPT from the MIX OUTPUT... OR MAYBE I AM ALL MIXING IT UP BASICALLY: from the MIX OUTPUT should I not be get (lets say with nothing patched in... all in LFO mod, and with all Mix Polarizer knobs at +2) all ENVELOPS mixed together? My problem is that there is ONLY ENVELOP 1 which go to the MIX OUTPUT? /alexandre/ --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Florian Anwander <Florian.Anwander@...> wrote: > > Hi > > you are aware, that Env2 to Env 4 are NOT triggered by the trigger-in by > default but are connected to the comparator out? > For testing set the "threshold" levels of Env1 to Env3 to at least 9 > o'clock position. Hi you are aware, that Env2 to Env 4 are NOT triggered by the trigger-in by default but are connected to the comparator out? For testing set the "threshold" levels of Env1 to Env3 to at least 9 o'clock position. If you want to use them as normal envelopes you have to connect the four Trigger Ins individually to the Gate from the MIDI-Interface or Keyboard. YES THEY ALL WORK... each envelop works and lits up OK... >The solder point labelled "JP4" of > all four boards (located behind the control "Mix Polarizer" at the edge of > the board) should be connected with a blank wire. I dont know really if that is what's wrong, I will bring back the module to MESI asap... LAST MINUTE : well after I slightly touched the blank wire and plug the module back, its now working... Dieter, would the guarantee goes off if I ask MESI to solder this again for me? thanks for yr attention, /a/

First of all please check if there are envelope signals for the outputs 2, 3 and 4 (observable at the LEDs of the units 2, 3 and 4). If there are envelope signals on all 4 outputs the module has to be sent in for repair if only envelope 1 appears at the mix output. Maybe the manufacturer forgot to connect the mix bus of all four boards. The solder point labelled "JP4" of all four boards (located behind the control "Mix Polarizer" at the edge of the board) should be connected with a blank wire. If this connection is missing only envelope output #1 appears at the mix output. Best wishes Dieter Doepfer

have you set the "Mix Polarizer" knobs an all 4 env's to the positive range (above zero)? best regards, Bakis. --- bellenger_a <bellenger_a@yahoo.fr> wrote: > Florian, thanks for this quick answer... > > SO...
