Excuse my stupidity, but how do you delete a module after you have added one?? Its GREAT by the way!! -- www.markfrancombe.com www.looop.no [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Apparently it's a bit counterintuitive: click on the red square next to the modulename in the module listings. Took me a while to figure it out myself too. ;-) -g

How else would you prefer it to be done? I couldnt think of anything but click the module then press the remove button? I maybe able to do a click module then press the delete key as well? I thought that just pressing the red button without selecting a module first could get messy if you had multiples of the same module installed, as you may end up removing the wrong one (last one placed). --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Guy D2 <guy@...> wrote:

No probs, the delete key will be added soon, I've already got it working this end. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Steven Taylor <steev@...> wrote:

Being able to use the delete key would be very handy definitely. Could possibly do a drag off the screen way of deletion also. As for buttons on the modules, thats a little difficult, due to the modules being dynamically created it haywire when you start overlaying sprites over the top that are tied to it. I tried this initially when I first started on the application. Maybe when my skill level rise i'll do something like this. Not gonna be changing the little red boxes anytime soon though, 300 of the little buggers :D It's a pretty minor thing anyway. I'll just add a little addition to the message bar with the movement instructions. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Guy D2 <guy@...> wrote:

...or do it the Apple way... Put a delete icon/button (e.g. red cross) over the left-hand top corner of the module on mouseOver. Even better: combine it with a modifier key (Opt-mouseOver for instance). Expanding on that: have a plus icon/button on the other corner, to quickly duplicate the same module... Other options: change the existing red square thingy to a circular icon *with* cross. Makes it more clear that's it a delete button. But the proper solution - that is, if you want to be consistent with your user interface - is to use drag'n'drop for deletion. Drag the module somewhere outside of the frame and poofff!! deleted. If you'd use the delete key, there is still no feedback for the user as to know that you have to use the delete key for removal of a module. One needs to somehow know that first (user manual, or pop-up hint). Of course, still handy to have, a delete key... Just a few thoughts. -g

Yeah its not done in Flash per se, rather another program called Swish Max2. I cant afford Flash anyway and this does the job, its still uses actionscript but has a lot of shortcuts I believe and makes life easier, just with no Tweening like flash which I dont need anyway. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, Guy D2 <guy@...> wrote:

For the modules that don't yet have images, maybe you could have blank images of the correct HP with the name of the module in text as place fillers. It's a temporary work-around. Thanks for all your work, it's getting to be quite a nice tool. -nicholas Quoting modularplanner <modularplanner@yahoo.co.uk>:

Hi theres been a lot of talk of improvisation and synthesizing external sources lately so my question is has anyone found filters or other modules which work nicely with saxopone, especially soprano? Its my impression that filters can sound really great with trumpet and not so good with saxophone. there are good mechanical reasons this should be the case (rather than acoustic or electronic) because the sound eminates from the entire body of the saxophone and just comes from one hole in the trumpet- so subtractive methods for example doesn't really work because you always hear the original sound as well as the filtered one.... this is why brass instruments can be muted (mechanical filtering) BTW I also find that harmonising and pitchshifting for example work better on trumpet because the harmonic structure is less complex any comments? Hi Richard, The same is valid for the clarinet. The clarinet player I work with designs his processing sets with the assumption that the original clarinet sound will always be there. In other words, his processing is only an addition to the original sound. I was recommended the vactrol filter by the list members for the clarinet. Best, Korhan
