I am building a basic 3 osc system. Is the A-185 Bus Access necessary?

Thanks, Mike

if you want to modify the cv and gate flow in the bus of your system - yes
but thats really not necessary.
the bus access is really needed when you want to connect 2 systems with
each other.

Whenever you drive more than 2 VCOs from the same CV source (e.g. A-190,
sequencer, keyboard ...) a bus access module (A-185-1 or A-185-2) is
recommended. The advantage of the A-185-2 is that you can add several CVs
that affect all VCOs (e.g. sequencer to CV2 + keyboard to CV3 + modulation
with attenuation to CV1).
