The A-190-5 will have different modes. At least one will be "4 voice
polyphonic" with separate CV and gate outputs. Probably several "4 voice
polyphonic" modes will be available with different assign algorithms.

Best wishes

So it would be possible to split a midi keyboard into different midi channels and each midi channel control a different voice?

Besides the polyphonic mode, it would also be nice to play two independent melodies with two different sounds.

yes

Such modes will be available too (e.g. four monophonic CV/gate outputs
controlled by four successive midi channels).

Best wishes

Hi Florian. I was thinking like playing four different sounds like in an arrangement using a single keyboard. Even with two voices it would be fun also.

Anyway, hope this module comes out soon.

No (and I think Dieter misunderstood you, whe he was answering). This
does not make sense and can not be a feature of the A-190-5, but must be
a feature of the MIDI-keyboard. A MIDI-Interface is not a
MIDImasterkeyboard controller.

There is no feature like:
incoming MIDI-notes C E G on MIDI-channel 1 are split into
C on MIDI-Channel 1
E on MIDI-Channel 2
G on MIDI-Channel 3
This would be what you were asking.

A multichannel MIDI-CV interface can do the following things:
let react the four outputs react on individual MIDI-channels like:
  MIDI channel 5 = CV out 1
  MIDI channel 6 = CV out 2
  MIDI channel 7 = CV out 3
  MIDI channel 8 = CV out 4
for each of the outputs a different algorithm is thinkable (first note,
last note, highest note, lowest note).
This is typically used if you want to play four different sounds in an
arrangement (like bass, sequence, solo,...).

Let react the four outputs react on multiple note events of the same
MIDI-channel like if you press repeatedly a three note chord C major in
various algorithms. Like
first chord
  out 1 = C
  out 2 = E
  out 3 = G
next chord
  out 4 = C
  out 1 = E
  out 2 = G
or
first chord
  out 1 = C
  out 2 = E
  out 3 = G
next chord
  out 1 = C
  out 2 = E
  out 3 = G
This is typically used if you want to play one sound on four voices.

For this you need a MIDI-Masterkeyboard which can make splitzones.

With two voices it might work, as you may be able to provide different
monophonic algorithms to the different CV-outs. Example: Out1 has
lowest-note algorithm and Out2 has highest note algorithm would make
something like a twovoice keyboard. But still you can not really play a
Bach two voiced invention, as there are parts with only one voice
playing, which would be then transfered by both outputs of the interface
(if there is only one note played, then it is the highest and the lowest
note at the same time).

Hi Florian. So it's not possible to generate two really independent voices, because it depends on the kind algorithm?
