Changing the A-176 Control Voltage Source values

Changing the A-176 Control Voltage Source values

2011-07-06 by ricardo

Hi all! I want to buy A-176 voltage sources in order to DC control some other modules, My question is ( excuse my lack of knowledge):
Is it possible to change the" 0 to +5V" values in the A-176 to "0 to +10V" ?
I read in the A-176 manual that there are some jumpers at the back in order to change the values from 0 to +5V to -2.5 to +2.5V But the modules I want to control take up to 10v.

Any other solution (or modules to buy) so I can get the +10v dc source that I need?

Thanks all in advance

a simple 'modular' solution:

the A176 has three 5 volts CV sources. just sum two of them with a linear A138 and you get your 10volts DC-offset. :-)

That's no problem. The three feedback resistors R4, R9 and R13 have to
changed from 47k to 91k. These are the only 47k resistors on the A-176
board.

Brilliant,
Thanks both

Thanks Dieter
If i have to change those resistors (The three feedback resistors R4, R9 and R13 that i have to changed from 47k to 91k)
Which are the most recommended resistors that I can buy in small quantities and where if possible?
Thanks again

Ric

As already said you need a 91k resistor (of course with the same dimensions
as the 47k, i.e. "0207" type). From your message I cannot see you home
country. I only know German electronic shops.

Best wishes
