This is a really idiosyncratic question.

That said, I use my A129/3 a LOT.

To ask my all famous question again :)
Do you sell your A-191 if you do? 8-)

Probably, unless someone wants to propose a trade ;-)

The A129/3 IS AN EXTEMELY USEFUL MODULE!!!!!

It allows for full processing of control voltages. What I suggest you
do however is (if you have one, if not this also recommended for the
A129/3) is place a A138a cv mixer next to it, so you can easily mix the
prcoessed CVs as well.

I don't own an A129/3. I ave built two processors that do the same
thing -and- i own two Blacet mixer/processors that to this plus mixing
and I use them continually.

Re: Suggestions for what to do with 24HP (or maybe 32)

2002-09-28 by Joe Buechler

Thanks Peter. Ya, that's what I was planning to do, put the A129/3
next to one of my A138a mixers.

I have a question about the A163 VC Divider, one of the other modules
I'm considering. The User's Guide says that to obtain a DC coupled
output, the module can be modified by adding a jumper to short out the
cap C7. I'd like to use the A163 as a VC clock divider. What would I
be giving up if I jumper the capacitor?

This sounds like a good idea indeed, but, what's the difference in
use between using a VC-LFO and the modded A163. I don't really
geddit, but I don't have any fequency divders to check it out also..

You don't have to give up anything - on mine I have mounted a simple
on/off toggle switch across the capacitor, and mounted it on the
front panel. This way you can select whether you want AC coupling for
audio signals (switch open, and signal output is about +/- 2.5V) or
DC coupling (switched closed, i.e. cap by-passed, signal out is 0 -
5V) for trigger/gate/clock type signals. It was quite
straightforward, and the switch I got from Maplin (www.maplin.co.uk)
is very similar to those Doepfer use, so it blends in nicely!

Hi Zameer

Very similar to using the VC LFO for clocking the A155 sequencer
to get variable step length, but it would be "quantized", and easily
sync'ed to midi as well.

Excellent, Tim! I was wondering if there was room for a toggle
switch. It sounds like a very easy modification indeed. (I don't mind
drilling and soldering, but my skills leave much to be desired :) )

This is a great idea, thanks!
I'll try it one day soon.

Has any one made the internal switch of the A-192 (cv-midi) onto the
front panel?

Also I agree the A-129/3 is an excellent module and even better when
using A-192/4 (slew limiter).
I also use it (together with a CV source module) to control the A-
129/2, a nice fixed filter with CV control.
