It's impossible to specify a certain max. length. The longer the cable the more noise and interference the cable will pick up and
forward to the output. But if you use shielded cables a few meters should be possible. With unshielded cables at least 50 cm should
work.

Thank you very much for your answer.
I think I won't need the wires to exceed 50 cm, but I'll investigate further about shielded wires, just in case.

That"s one of the aspects that I deeply appreciate with modular systems : the more you spend time using it, the more you learn interesting info about music, electronics, mechanics...
Especially when people are so inclined to answer your questions !

Yes, and you may use it at the same time for the GND of the potentiometer. I.e. you need a shielded cable with only two wires +
shield.
