Hi

It is basically possible, with a VC pitchshifter. The A-187 unfortunately does not allow to suppress the original signal, so it won't work. But I am sure there are other pitchshifters in the eurorack world, which work with FX-only. My trusted old MXR Pitchshifter has a CV input, but it works not V/Oct; nevertheless you can do nice things with it.

Thank you for your reply, Florian.

The reason I ask this is, that sometimes when you VC tune/pitch-V/Oct a VCO, the sound changes, so you can not play a decent melody.

You can notice it here in this video - not so clearly - from 6.16 and at 7.06 minute.
If the signal was distorted more and more , the changes in sound would be also more and more.

It's a pity, because the OptoFet filter has some very nice [sweetspot] distorted sounds.

This video example doesn't have to do anything with the VCO and its tracking. It is about how the distorting filter reacts on the VCO.

The sound only changes, because the filter is not controlled by the
same voltage(s) as the VCO. The VCO has an LFO Modulation on it, which
the VCF doesn't have. So the relation oscillator-frequency to
filter-frequency changes all the time, and in consequence the sound
changes all the time.
If this modulation would affect the filter too (and if the relation
F-osc to F-filte would be on one of these sweetspots), then the sound
would be steadily distorted the same way.
