The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of an LCD meter, and you might as well throw in a tuner (which shouldn't be too expensive, especially since the Korg CA-20 tuner is around the $30 mark). By using an LCD, it could also be configured as a multi meter. Regards, Kevin

Perfectly valid point, but frustration leads to these kind of reactions :-) I would hinge plans for 4 rows of modules on how I feel about the company. All business works on the basis of quid pro quo. So if Doepfer comes thru on this, I'll spend a bunch of money on modules. Joe

Oops! I misread Doepfer's statement. You're right. Breezing through, I thought he'd said they searched extensively, when he was in fact saying the opposite. In the context of what I thought he'd said, your concerns surprised me. Sorry 'bout that. I hope this is an issue that Doepfer will in fact address more fully. I guess personally though I wouldn't hinge my plans for 4 rows of modules on the meter issue if there seemed to be a homebrew solution to meters not too far out of reach, but that's me. I hope Doepfer will come through on this one.

I feel a bit like saying "I told you so" since I have all along favoured an LCD meter and always seen it as a tuner for cv use, but of course if it also works as a normal cromatic tuner that would indeed be to my liking. /Andreas ----- Original Message -----

A few bytes of code would make it into a useful musical product. On the bright side, at least you are not left holding the proverbial bag, while waiting for a software update for the schaltwerk or Chris Assal's uninterested laissez faire comments. You can always buy the A.Sys module, if you need it pronto. RM
