Doepfer

It really would be nice to have a built-in oscilloscope in the system.
Any chance Doepfer would consider manufacturing one (a small and 
cheap one, that is)?

There are hand-held oscilloscopes in the
$300-600 dollar range that have OK
visual.  I'm sure a doepfer module could
be based around these LCD displays but
the quality  would be low and price high.

There are also miniature cathode ray tubes

But, I do not see how you could fit that in 
a module, nor, isolate the system from noise.

i was just wondering what other people found:

my g6 has only got a couple of oscilators, and nothing else is that high
powered.  Its still got a few a few HP of space left in it, but whenever i
get additions, i always find that im juggling stuff about between cases in
order to get both a configuration that is sensible, and also the power under
the 650ma limit.

does anyone else find the amps restrictive?

at rare occasions, yes.but most of the time with the
right programming(exchanging some modules between
various a100 racks) ,i manage to fit the modules that
i want into my a100 racks.most of my a100 racks have
reached the 650mA's PSU limit!in general, not a
problem for me...

not really on topic, but does anyoneknow the mA of the concussor modules?
the ones im particularly interested in are the LFO1 and EG02, having just
picked them up 2nd hand...

some of the concussor modules need +5 volts
supply(mostly the digital ones...).ask Tom about it

yeah, i had a word with him: his reply was that the psu would cope... (but
didnt give any details)

however, with his system the front plates are generally quite wide.  cause
im going to be mixing my system, and have things like 4hp 40mA modules in
there, the exact value of the AS modules matters to me a little more.

i was just wondering if anyone had calculated the amps themselves

Hi,

when I had the A-129 vocoder (129/1 and 129/2) 650 mA wasn´t enough for 
my G6 case. I tried to run it with around 700mA, but then the VCOs were 
quite unstable. So a PSU with like 900mA - 1A would be nice.
