I agree with Steve.  Don't bother reprogramming the TX7 as that is more work. 
 Just have the VFX access the TX on a separate channel that you set up as 
midi, not local and not both. Then go and change the octave on the VFX where you 
have the TX sound and the TX will play the correct octave to match the VFX 
layer. Frank
